Chapter 11 - CHAPTER -11

"Everything you just recited sounded like a first-grader girl memorizing a poem. Are you saying all this just by looking at my face as if it's a textbook? What do you take me for?" that crazy man asked me.

"Oh, it's nothing like that, sir. I just told you what happened in a normal way," I replied.

"Oh, so it's just me? Do I look like a madman to you?" he asked, walking toward me with a serious expression, looking every bit like Ravana.

You're not a madman; you're a psycho, a sadist, and a total monster, I cursed him in my head. But outwardly, I put on an innocent face and said, "Oh my god, sir! When did I ever say that? You are the Great Jai Dev Varma, the CEO of this company. I am just an ordinary employee working under you. My days wouldn't even go by if you didn't pay my salary. How could I ever call you a madman, sir? Tell me."

He gave me a cunning smile. "Not bad. You're acting well. You should try out for the movies. Forget the Oscars; I see the talent in you to win an award even greater than that."

"Why are you saying that, sir? Where am I acting? Honestly, it's not easy for anyone to speak this bravely in front of you," I said innocently.

"Is that so? Yet, here you are, speaking quite boldly. You even landed a sharp slap on my cheek earlier. How was that so 'easy' for you?" he asked, stepping closer to me again like a villain.

"That's just who I am, sir. I'm Hasini. My name literally means someone who is always laughing and cheerful without fear. That's why, since birth, I've never been afraid of anyone or anything," I told him, maintaining my innocent act.

"You've certainly got a way with words. Fine, you may leave," he said.

As I was opening the door to leave, he called out, "Hey, brain less girl , stop!"

Is this psycho calling me? Or someone else? I wondered, looking around.

"Hey, brain less ! I'm calling you only . Why are you looking all over the place?" he asked in a deep, commanding voice, settling into his chair.

"Are you... calling me, sir?" I asked to confirm.

"Any doubt?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

You idiot ! You're calling me 'brain less'? May a crow fly away with your brain! I shouted internally. But like a 'good girl,' I said, "No doubts, sir. I realize you were calling me. Why did you call me back, sir?"

"You don't really use your brain much, do you? You're always jumping and skipping around like a young deer. That's why I named you 'Brain less .' Do you like it?" he said with that same cunning smile.

You sadist ! I can't even think of the right insults for you right now, otherwise, you'd be wearing a hearing aid after listening to my scolding, I thought. "Yes, sir, tell me," I said aloud.

"I told you this morning, didn't I? Meet me after office hours," he reminded me.

"Yes, sir, you did."

"Here, come to the address on this card. Be there exactly at 6:00 PM. Call me once you arrive; my number is on the card too. I need to tell you some things about my family, and I need to know a few things about you. Only then will they believe our act. Is that clear?" he said, placing the card on the table.

"Yes, sir. I understood . I will be at the address by 6:00 PM sharp," I said. He then opened his laptop and started working. Without another word, I left for the canteen.

As I was walking into the canteen I saw infront of my colleague friend vini while she is talking in her phone, a beautiful handsome 24-years man with a light beard wearing a crisp white shirt with long sleeves and black phant was walking out towards infront of vini . He was folding his sleeves as he came through the door.

Vini wasn't looking, and she crashed right into him. The plastic cup filled with Coke in her hand splashed all over on his white shirt. In an instant, his pristine shirt turned the color of Coke.

That Both of them stood there in total shock, staring at each other with their mouths wide open like frogs in a well.
