The moment he noticed it, everything in his surroundings stopped.
As if the world is made of ice, the colors started to melt. It dripped and liquefied into the ground.
It's like a paint has been peeled off, revealing a dark surrounding with no ends.
Kael was sitting on the ground, stunned at the sight. The melted colors suddenly gathered at the center and it created a lump.
Then the lump grew tall until it formed a silhouette of a person.
"Hello, Kael."
In front of Kael, a man with a bright golden clock shimmering at his back stared down at him. He can't see his face nor his body. It was only endless darkness inside his black cloak and hood.
But Kael can feel his sharp gaze staring down.
"Who are you?" For the first time, Kael's mind was clear.
"I granted you powers and that gift." The man's voice is deep and rough. He doesn't seem to have a mouth. Kael can feel his voice vibrating from his whole being.
