Chapter 83 - Chapter 83 - Emergence of the Eclipse Heir

The next morning, the Red Moon mansion buzzed with activity. Though the rogue attack had been repelled, Hazel could still feel the residual tension in the air. Every corner seemed alive with the pack's vigilance.

Hazel walked alongside Nick and Bella, her mind still reeling from last night's events. "I can't believe I actually did that," she said softly, glancing at the forest where the attackers had emerged.

Nick smiled reassuringly. "You have instincts, Hazel. Strong ones. And you have Ryan watching your back. That makes all the difference."

Bella grinned. "And don't forget, you've got the whole pack on your side. We'll make sure no one touches you."

Hazel felt a mix of pride and unease. The thought of standing as Ryan's claimed mate—and now actively participating in the defense of the pack—was thrilling, but heavy with responsibility.

Meanwhile, Ryan observed from the balcony, Ralph, Blade, and Venom poised and alert, his gaze flicking between Hazel and the grounds. There was no threat in sight yet, but he could feel the pull of forces drawn to the Eclipse Heir. Hazel's aura flared faintly, even in daylight, a subtle reminder of the power she carried—and the claim he had publicly established.

He descended the stairs silently, catching Hazel off guard. "You should take a proper break," he said, voice low, teasing. "Your aura is still active from last night, and you look… exhausted."

Hazel flushed at his proximity. "I'm fine," she said quickly, brushing past him, trying to hide her racing heartbeat.

Ryan's dark eyes followed her, unyielding. "You're not fine," he murmured, stepping closer, hand brushing against hers—not marking, not intimate, just presence, claiming space. "But that's okay. I've got you."

Hazel felt heat rush to her cheeks and focused instead on regaining control over her aura, concentrating as Nick and Bella guided her through exercises on the mansion grounds.

By afternoon, Hazel was practicing more deliberate use of her Luna instincts under Nick's supervision. Ryan watched silently from nearby, occasionally stepping in to correct her stance or guide her energy flow, his hands never lingering, yet the proximity sent shivers down her spine.

"Good," Ryan said finally, approving her control over a protective barrier. "You're getting stronger… faster than I expected."

Hazel's pulse raced at his praise. "I… I just want to do my part," she said softly.

"You're doing more than that," Ryan replied, his voice low and commanding. "You're mine, Hazel. And you're showing everyone exactly why no one will ever take you from me."

As the day turned to evening, Mila's faint presence in confinement lingered in the back of Hazel's mind. Though powerless for now, Hazel knew Mila's schemes were far from over. And somewhere in the shadows, other forces aware of the Eclipse Heir prophecy began to stir, drawn by Hazel's growing energy.

Hazel looked at Ryan, standing close, his protective aura brushing against hers. For the first time, she felt the weight and thrill of being claimed, knowing she was both powerful and fiercely protected—and that the world outside would soon learn it too.
