Chapter 80 - Chapter 80 - Private Truths

The mansion was quiet after the chaos of Mila's opposition. Her screams and struggle had been silenced, her powers stripped, and she had been confined—a clear warning to anyone daring to defy Lucifer's will. Hazel had witnessed it from afar, but the real tension lay elsewhere.

Ryan stepped aside, motioning to Hazel. "You're coming with me," he said, his voice low, protective. His eyes darkened with the dangerous aura of Ralph, Blade, and Venom. "Time for your first conversation with my father… privately."

Hazel felt her pulse spike. Alone with Lucifer? And Ryan standing there, intense, dominating… it made her heartbeat race for more reasons than fear.

In the private study, Lucifer leaned back in his chair, eyes piercing as he studied Hazel. "You are the Eclipse Heir," he began, voice low but commanding. "I have seen your power. But there are responsibilities you do not yet understand."

Hazel nodded, trying to keep her composure. "I know I'm… not fully ready. But I will learn. I will protect the pack and Ryan."

Ryan stepped closer, placing a hand on her lower back. "She's ready, Father," he said, firm and dangerous. "She's my mate, and she has the strength to face anything that comes."

Lucifer's gaze flicked between them, analyzing. "I see why you claimed her," he admitted, almost reluctantly. "But the prophecy is dangerous. Every step she takes will affect more than just your pack."

Ryan's jaw tightened. "Then I'll make sure she never faces it alone. Not if I can stop it."

Hazel felt warmth spread through her chest at his words, and the faint pulse of their connection thrummed stronger than ever.

Later, Veronica called Hazel, Bella, and Annabelle to the private chambers. The girls entered hesitantly, but Veronica's eyes softened immediately.

"You've grown stronger than I imagined," she said, brushing Hazel's hair back from her face. Hazel's cheeks immediately burned red. "Your aura, your Luna… your control. You are remarkable, child."

Bella giggled softly, nudging Hazel. "See? Even the grandmother of the vampire line thinks you're amazing."

Annabelle smirked, teasing Hazel lightly. "Better start getting used to compliments from elders. It's only going to get worse."

Veronica's smile widened, placing a hand over Hazel's. "You carry the Eclipse Heir's marking, the sign of destiny, but also of protection. Remember, with power comes responsibility. And… with Ryan by your side, you are unstoppable."

Hazel's cheeks burned hotter. Ryan's protective gaze was still on her, and now Veronica's words, Bella's teasing, and Annabelle's smirk left her heart racing and mind spinning.

After the conversations, Hazel leaned against Ryan as they walked back through the mansion. "You weren't exaggerating," she murmured softly. "Your father… he's intense. And your mother…"

Ryan smirked, pressing a possessive kiss to her temple. "They're intense, yes. But now they see what I see. You're mine. Always."

Hazel's Devourer energy pulsed, her Luna aura glowing brighter. "I know," she whispered, leaning closer. "And I'm yours."

Behind them, Mila's muffled screams echoed faintly from her confinement—a reminder that anyone who tried to interfere would pay the price, and that Hazel's place, as the Eclipse Heir and Ryan's mate, was solidified.

The mansion was quiet again, but the tension, power, and passion of the day lingered in every corner, binding Hazel, Ryan, and the pack tighter than ever .
