The training hall inside the mansion was quiet.
Modern.
Wide.
Glass walls allowed sunlight to enter softly.
Hazel stood in the center of the room.
Breathing slowly.
Ryan stood in front of her.
Watching.
Patient.
"You are still weak," Ryan said calmly.
"Yes," Hazel replied.
"But you must learn control."
Hazel nodded.
Ryan continued.
"When your power awakens, emotion becomes dangerous."
Hazel frowned slightly.
"So I must be cold?"
"No," Ryan said.
"Balanced."
Silence.
Ryan stepped closer slowly.
Not touching.
Just close enough that she could feel his presence.
"Close your eyes."
Hazel did.
Ryan spoke quietly.
"Feel the energy inside your chest."
Hazel inhaled slowly.
The eclipse mark on her wrist glowed faintly.
"Do not push it."
"Do not fear it."
"Let it move like breathing."
Hazel focused.
The air around her shifted slightly.
Soft energy ripples spread outward.
Nick, Annabelle, Sera, and Klara were watching from the side.
Nick smiled faintly.
"She is learning fast."
Annabelle nodded.
"She is stubborn."
Klara said quietly:
"She always was."
After some time, Ryan spoke.
"Enough for today."
Hazel opened her eyes.
Exhaustion was visible but not extreme.
Ryan nodded.
"Good."
Then he added:
"You will train with them now."
He gestured toward Nick, Bella, Sera, and Klara.
Hazel frowned slightly.
"You are leaving?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
Ryan answered honestly.
"Pack leadership duty."
Hazel did not argue.
She understood responsibility.
Ryan left the training hall.
Walked to his office inside the mansion.
Inside, Liam was waiting.
His expression was serious.
"Alpha."
"Yes."
Liam spoke.
"Kyle is back."
Ryan's eyes darkened slightly.
"Explain."
"His company shares are collapsing."
"His father had a stroke after hearing about the contract loss."
Ryan listened silently.
"And?"
"There is a lady he is planning to marry."
Ryan's expression remained cold.
"Continue."
Liam added:
"Company board pressure is increasing."
Silence.
Then Ryan said quietly:
"Smith's company meeting."
"Yes, Alpha."
Ryan and Liam disappeared from the mansion office almost instantly.
Alpha speed.
Space shift movement.
They appeared inside Smith's Company conference hall.
The meeting Ryan had postponed for days because of Hazel.
Executives were already waiting.
Ryan walked to the main seat calmly.
His presence filled the room with pressure.
Then he spoke.
