Even with the mask covering his face, Luna could tell from his eyes that he had a mocking smile plastered on his face. He didn't walk to where she was.
Luna couldn't help how her eyes trailed after him. She watched him go to one of the most beautiful women in the room, a woman dressed in a luxurious gown. She had the most beautiful body Luna had ever seen—an hourglass figure, slender yet elegant, the kind of presence that made it difficult to look away. Luna saw him lean toward the side of the woman's head, and the woman gave him a bright, unguarded smile.
Then he walked to the dance floor with the woman trailing happily behind him. Many eyes followed them, and the crowd parted to make way. Luna couldn't tear her eyes away from them. She felt her aunt tug on her hand.
