Chapter 1 - Chapter 1:ADMISSION DAY

Under the dark and gloomy skies, two figures seemingly walking alongside each other and abreast sharing an exchange. The rhythm of their steps which vibrated in resonance to the crackling sound of thunder. The apparent atmosphere peculiar to the impression exuded from these distinguished two couldn't be more eccentric - it was as enigmatic as it could possibly get as viewed from behind.

Strikingly pale skin from which one's gaze could never escape. A heart throbbing hairstyle characterized with an enchanting mix of white with tinted strands of blue tipped edges which betone it's vibrant hue complemented his glamorous embodiment of human stature in its perfection. One could only describe the young man as such - 'oh, what charm could just an individual bear, not to mention a heightened figure'

"brother, while we're on the subject of humanity I want to ask, do you consider yourself human or something else'' uttered a fine and feminine elegant voice beside his left shoulder.

Walking alongside him was a lady endowed with a statuesque physique - elegantly tall bearing a similar pallid skin which seemed to glow in perfect resonance to her long silvery white flowing hair.

"Why do you ask?" replied the young man in a nonchalant tone.

"Oh well... I do find it satisfying to ascertain your current name or perhaps... state, Fizikiel"

"Is it of necessity to discern my current state of being. If so the same applies to you, does it not?

Our very essence on this earth requires we learn from the social interaction that exist among humans. Now to achieve our cause, it is prudent that we navigate the fabric threaded by human affairs -emotions, strife, conflicts- as humans ourselves"

"That it your answer then. Very well, Felix it is"

"That's right khemia, or should I say Mia."

"You're as sharp as ever... Brother"

Khemia gazed as far off into the distance.

What seemed to be massive walls having it's front to be an exaggeratedly home schooled gate serving as its entrance with intricate patterns and delicate design was in sight.

"The destination is nigh," Fizikiel declared

"What humans call a school huh?"

"Yes, an academic institution established by humans to impact into their young ones inherent knowledge in reference to the collective progress of humanity over time. Now for someone who has been home schooled , I wouldn't expect you to know anything about school interactions let alone university interactions. You're about to see just how intriguing or mundane school life could be."

"How arcane or mundane, that's so like you brother"

Soon enough, they arrive at the entrance of the foreseen unifying structure. Standing at the foot of the gates, an instant flash of lightning illuminates the skies revealing the name of the university --*University of Eminent ages*-- consequently throwing light on the faces the lady and gentleman in question.

Behold the face of these two were as splendid as it could be. Sharp jaw lines, perfectly sculptured ears, high bridged and pointed noses, sharp eyebrows complementing the intricate pairs of purple and blue luring eyes of Khemia(Mia) and Fizikiel(Felix) respectively. Mia presenting a statuesque physique of an elegantly tall lady with a charming face along with Felix, a young man of height with broad shoulders supporting his charming anterior work of great facial beauty but with a generally saddened impression.

"Oh the things we do for having broken a celestial code." Fizikiel cried.

They entered the university premises through the gates and had to walk on the pedestrian lane rather than the main park of the front premises. This was as a means to avoid the congestion of cars as they swarmed the park breaking the boundaries of the park lot onto the main park. They walked quietly and manage to get away from the park.

"Whew, finally. Away from the one thing I hated about this human society, crowding." Khemia darted with a sigh of relieve.

"I couldn't agree more with you" A voice interjected Khemia's sighing from the back. It came from a lady who also walked on the same path with her but just a little distant from her.

"At least I found a person who can reason on the same boat as me. Trying to find your way in a crowd is the last thing i would ever want to get myself caught into." the same voice spoke again.

Khemia turned back to see whoever was thinking on the path as her. she turned back to see a fine young and pretty lady with an impressive feminine build befitting her youthful charm. And oh my, her sense of fashion was killer but not too much in the no-no. Not to mention the hair -- flowing black hair which turned out red halfway through to the end-tip. Yet nahh, it didn't end there. There also seemed to be an elaborate colour of crimson defining her iris along with her deep red lipsticked lips which carved out her facial beauty. Her dressing also gave out the cool beats.

Now for usual people, it would have seemed a bit over the roof for people to drip on their first day in uni but then no one really gave much attention to it cuz this wasn't just any university. It was a top-tier university which took in graduates with highly commendable grades from all around the world. Candidates from different continent and countries took part in the Scholastic Aptitude Test -SAT- offered by the prestigious "University of Eminent Ages" once every year to provide admission to people worthy enough to forge a path with aptitude and excellence to reach the highest peaks of their dreams. It goes without saying, admissions were hard obtain. It was evident by how approximately six percent of Candidates from all around the world made it in the list of people who were qualified to make it to such a distinct institution every year. The University always received complaints of how high a passing grade it required to be admitted. The different students who got accepted into the institution were always an interesting set of people. They were people from different races, continents, countries, religions, with different lifestyles who had come together to aspire greater dreams but the set this time round would surely be a seemingly promising bunch.

"And who might you be" questioned Khemia.

"Oops, should've introduced myself first. The name is Amy Whitaker but you can address me as Amy for short. And you are??"

"I'm Mia. Just a simple scholar here at this institute for registration" Khemia replied with a nonchalant expression.

"Simple, you say? surely you must know for a fact that anyone who get admission into this academy can't be that of a simple person.

"Oh and you are?" Amy asked looking in Fizikiel' direction

"An acquaintance, you could say." Fizikiel answered without revealing much.

"A pleasure it is to meet you and by the way, I thought you guys were like siblings or something" Amy said

''Quite the presumption you have there." Fizikiel reputed.

"Ha, from the way you guys strolled together with your looks, I could feel the sibling aura preaching a lot. "

"You're an amusing one, Amy"

"Oh don't give me that, just stating a fact in the land of the obvious"

"*Laughs* and by the way just as you said, we are more out less like siblings"

"That was spot on" Fizikiel commented

"Guess I was right then" Amy outed and continued "it seems you're the not-so simple one yourself. You do come out as a clever one"

"Spare me the flattery" Amy replied lightheartedly.

And so, the conversation continued till they reached the entrance hall where all the selected candidates had gathered. At this point, Fizikiel and Khemia had split up with Amy as they proceeded into the crowd. The number of the people in the crowd was a little over the nine hundreds but it didn't even measure to a tenth of the total number of people who had taken the aptitude test.

"It seems we lost her, what a bummer" Mia sighed

"And it also seems that you've taken quite a liking into her" Fizikiel commented

"Oh really"

"Yes, and guess what: your mood also brightened"

"Maybe not all humans are nauseating, she was different"

"She is indeed different. She is sharp and also very observant"

"Yeah, I could see how from she realize we were siblings or at least something close to that and that not-so simple person thing which really gave me the vibes."

"I guess it's time to focus on what we really came here for"

"Yes, the standings"
