ARoman brought the car to a halt as Morgan's vehicle pulled into a residential gate. Because of the considerable distance, Roman couldn't quite see who welcomed the man there.
However, not long after, another car arrived and stopped at the closed gate. A woman stepped out.
"Catherine..." Roman murmured, watching his wife walk alone into the house. "She looks healthy, thank God."
Roman tightened his grip on the steering wheel. A surge of conflicting emotions washed over him—longing, resentment, and a burning impatience. He wanted to leap out and reveal himself to her, but his current situation held him back.
"Forgive me, Catherine. Just be patient until we can meet again."
Roman remained there, unmoving, for a long time.
