Chapter 18 - The Truth Revealed

Chapter Eight

Season Two – Part One

After a Few Days

Location: Training Grounds

Kaith stood firm, his grip tightening around the hilt of his sword. His eyes burned with determination, sharp and unwavering.

Kaith (in a sharp, energized voice):

"So… are you ready to taste defeat, Reinhardt?"

A faint chuckle slipped from Gilgamesh's lips, but it failed to break Kaith's focus.

Reinhardt stood still—completely motionless.

His eyes carried a cold, lethal calm… and he didn't say a single word.

1… 2… 3…

The fight began.

Kaith lunged forward with confidence, his blade cutting through the air.

But the moment he tried to close the distance—

It was as if an invisible barrier stood between them.

Reinhardt moved like a flash of lightning—

too fast for the eye to follow.

Suddenly—

Reinhardt unleashed his overwhelming strike:

"Dark Severance."

The ground trembled violently beneath them.

The earth split apart into deep fractures, and a thick cloud of dust rose, choking the air and blinding the surroundings.

Reinhardt (calmly, his voice carrying deadly challenge):

"Weren't you the one saying I wasn't good enough to train you… and that you'd crush me?"

Kaith (breathing heavily, raising his head despite the pain):

"The fight… isn't over yet. Keep going."

In the blink of an eye—

Reinhardt appeared behind him.

His blade gleamed under the light, aimed directly at Kaith's neck.

Reinhardt (coldly):

"Now… it's over."

Gilgamesh's voice echoed across the field, cold and merciless:

Gilgamesh:

"This fight was decided before it even began."

Reinhardt (whispering to Gilgamesh):

"He needs proper training… his level isn't enough. He's weak."

Then Reinhardt leaned closer and whispered something else into Gilgamesh's ear.

Silence fell for a moment…

Until—

Gilgamesh interrupted.

Gilgamesh (serious, with a hint of mockery):

"Kaith… I'll train you for a short time.

Just enough so you can actually stand against Reinhardt."

Meanwhile — Reinhardt & Alia

At that moment, Reinhardt walked toward Alia and pulled her aside, speaking in a low voice.

Alia (tense):

"What do you want, Reinhardt?"

Reinhardt (firm, leaving no room for argument):

"How long are you going to keep lying to Kaith, Alia?"

Alia froze, her eyes widening.

Alia:

"What… do you mean?"

Reinhardt (sharp, laced with mockery):

"Don't try to lie. I know you're not from our world.

Did you really think your pathetic tricks would fool me?"

Alia stepped back, fear creeping into her expression.

Alia (shaken):

"H-how… did you find out?"

Reinhardt (calm, yet strict):

"I'll give you one piece of advice…

Don't tell Kaith the truth about yourself."

(pauses)

"Tomorrow… I'll send you back to your world. No discussion."

Alia (firm, resisting):

"You don't have the right to decide that for me. That's my choice."

Reinhardt (calm, absolute):

"This is for Kaith's sake… not yours, and not anyone else's."

Alia hesitated… just for a moment.

Then—

Alia (quietly):

"…Fine. I'll go back."

Reinhardt (low voice, unwavering):

"Tomorrow, you return to your world.

And I know your biggest secret… not just that you're from another world."

Shock filled Alia's face.

She said nothing—only nodded silently.

Back to Kaith & Gilgamesh

Gilgamesh crossed his arms, his voice critical and sharp.

Gilgamesh:

"Kaith… you're weak. You couldn't even shake my will inside the illusion."

Kaith (clearly irritated):

"It's not my fault the one I'm facing is a king… a complete dragon… the strongest dragon here."

Gilgamesh (provoking, laughing):

"You think you're strong? Reinhardt is a Royal Dragon… do you even know what that means?"

Kaith (confused):

"And how am I supposed to know that?"

Gilgamesh (surprised):

"…Because it's basic knowledge every dragon knows.

Anyway—he's far stronger than me."

Kaith (hesitant):

"But he's only 36 years old… how can he be that powerful?"

Gilgamesh burst into loud laughter, like thunder echoing through a valley.

Gilgamesh (mocking):

"Only 36? That's hilarious!

That's just the age he reached the rank of a Royal Dragon."

(leans closer)

"His real age… could be thousands—maybe millions of years.

Don't tell me you don't know how dragons grow."

Kaith (shocked, looking down, voice quiet):

"That's… the truth. I didn't know."

Gilgamesh (staring, stunned):

"Whaaaat?! Are you kidding me?!"

Half-Dragon: Ages like a normal human.

Full Dragon: One year equals 100 human years.

Noble Dragon: One year equals 1,000 human years.

Back to the Scene

Gilgamesh's tone shifted—serious now, carrying both respect and warning.

Gilgamesh:

"Do you really think that's all Reinhardt's strength amounts to?"

His voice deepened.

"No…

He's far stronger than you can even imagine."

Kaith:

"Then why didn't he crush me easily?"

Gilgamesh laughed again, shaking his head.

Gilgamesh:

"Because he didn't want to…

and because he can only use a small portion of his power."

(smiles coldly)

"And what he used against you… was less than even that."

(pauses)

"Yet he still crushed you."

"…Isn't that funny?"
