Chapter 2 - The Vanishing Dragon

There was no warning.

When the dragons disappeared, balance collapsed. Disasters spread across the six worlds, igniting conflict, war, famine, scarcity of resources, and desperate struggles for refuge. Everything fell into ruin. The dragons no longer turned, interworld gates faltered, time itself felt heavy, and communication between worlds was severed.

During the solar eclipse that occurred once every two years, the rulers of the six worlds convened to seek a solution to restore balance. From that meeting, they reached a single conclusion: to create direct descendants of the rulers—beings who would one day be tasked with maintaining balance between the worlds.

Thus, six children were born, one from each race:

Vaelis Thorne, Princess of Demons;

Dyrene Caelum, Prince of Angels;

Aurelion Treehouse, Prince of Fairies;

Darian Thalric, Prince of Giants;

Felix Valerius, Prince of Humans;

and Morveth Sanguinie, Princess of Vampires.

One day, they would stand together as an organization meant to stabilize the worlds.

Yet, like any organization, they required a leader.

The rulers argued fiercely over which race deserved that position. None were willing to yield, each fearing that the world would collapse if leadership were entrusted to a single race.

In the end, they reached a final agreement—to create one additional child, a leader who belonged to no race at all.

That child was forged from the remnants of the dragon’s creation and granted the wisdom of the Demon King, the grace of the Angel Queen, the skill of the Fairy King, the resilience of the Giant Queen, the compassion of the Human King, and the sacred blood of the Vampire Queen.

From that process, the leader of the organization was born.

His name was Elion Pyraeth, the Last Dragon.

As one of dragon lineage, Elion possessed the ability to travel between worlds—but with a limitation: that power could only be used once each year. But the world does not work that way.
