Chapter 21 - "Hell’s Poison Breaks Giant Ape."

-----

-----

"Unforgivable!!"

A figure burst up from the endlessly churning waters of the Yellow Springs. White steam poured off his body as if some otherworldly toxin were eating into his flesh. This was corrosive spiritual power straight from the Third Layer of Hell. Even with a body as monstrous as his, Green Cliff ( Gunjō ) felt real, unmistakable pain.

Above him, Renji Abarai's crimson eyes burned with battle lust. Moments earlier, the massive blade of Zabimaru had driven Green Cliff straight through the floor. Man and weapon smashed down together, plunging into the horrifying underworld river below.

This giant ape, who looked almost goofy at first glance, had shown terrifying strength. With his bare hands, he had forcibly stopped a Zanpakutō's blade. After getting a feel for its power, he had even hurled it back.

But Renji had already spotted the key to victory.

It was not the blade that hurt him.It was the Yellow Springs itself, the hellish water gnawing at his physical body.

Without hesitation, Renji unleashed a volcanic surge of spiritual pressure into the serpent head of Zabimaru.

"Baboon Bone Cannon!!!"

Red spiritual energy gathered inside the snake's jaws, compressing into a terrifying sphere. Locking onto Green Cliff just as he crawled free of the dead water, it screamed through the air and crashed down like a world-ending meteor.

BOOM!!!

The spiritual cannon blasted Green Cliff straight back into the depths of Hell. The impact exploded across the Yellow Springs, throwing up a colossal splash that could have swallowed a battleship. Putrid black water sprayed in all directions.

Dragon Ball Universe Viewing Platform

"That body… he's basically indestructible," Tien muttered, arms crossed, shock plain in his eyes.

He had just watched that guy take Renji's heavy hit head-on. It looked rough, sure, but there were no real injuries to speak of.

Krillin swallowed hard. "We're supposed to be martial artists, but that level of toughness is way beyond where we are right now. If that attack hit me, there's no way I'd be getting back up that easily."

They both knew how powerful Renji's attack was. It was easily comparable to one of their full-power energy blasts. And Green Cliff had taken it twice.

What they did not yet realize was that their own future growth would skyrocket on a cosmic scale.

Deep Space

A chilling, unfamiliar tension spread through the void.

Vegeta lifted his chin proudly. "These so-called 'Shinigami,' and the place they fight in… is Earth really hiding monsters like this? Looks like even a Saiyan needs to reevaluate this so-called low-level planet."

Frieza let out a shrill laugh. "Oh ho ho ho! Hell, you say? What a delightful place!"

The Namekian Grand Elder's eyes shone with wonder. "Such fascinating spiritual power. It's completely different from ki."

Beerus idly poked at the dessert beside him. "Whis, these inner-world power systems are surprisingly interesting. If they were just a little stronger, they'd make perfect entertainment."

Tokyo Ghoul World

The moment Hell appeared on screen, countless ghouls felt their nerves shatter.

"So… so oppressive!"

"My kagune… my body… why won't it stop shaking?!"

"That's Hell? If the Shinigami judge me, will I end up like those sinners? No! I don't want to go to Hell!"

The corrosive spiritual pressure and miasma of Hell fed back through the footage, crushing lower-tier ghouls with an irresistible bloodline suppression. It was a gap between worlds, a difference in power so absolute that these would-be predators felt the terror of being crushed by an invisible hand.

Only a handful of top-tier ghouls rated at S-class could barely withstand the pressure from the Shinigami world.

Tsukiyama Shu's eyes gleamed with manic obsession. "Hell… such extreme, violent power. That alone is worthy of true indulgence."

Yoshimura's gaze turned thoughtful. "So this is what they call Shinigami. The strength they wield is awe-inspiring."

Touka Kirishima clenched her fists. "That guy's physical defense… it's even more terrifying than our toughest kagune."

Naruto World – Konoha

"Such insane speed!" Sasuke Uchiha stared at the screen, sweat beading on his forehead. "The moment they attack, the trajectory just disappears!"

He pushed his Sharingan to its limit, trying to track Ichigo Kurosaki and Renji's movements. But every flash step and clash was so fast that even his prized perception struggled to keep up.

That burning hunger for power twisted into frustration deep inside him.

Kakashi Hatake studied Renji's Baboon Bone Cannon with a grave expression. "That attack just now is already on par with the strongest S-rank ninjutsu."

To him, that kind of pure, compressed energy explosion could only be compared to a Tailed Beast Bomb. Though in terms of wide-area devastation, Baboon Bone Cannon seemed slightly less overwhelming than the mountain-flattening chaos of a true Beast Bomb.

Land of Iron – Five Kage Summit

Because of the looming threat of "Uchiha Madara," the Five Kage Summit had been convened early.

With the Konoha Crush incident not yet having occurred, Orochimaru was still disguised as the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa, blending in among them.

The Raikage slammed his fist down, his voice booming like thunder. "That giant ape's defense is unheard of! Even in my Lightning Release Chakra Mode, I wouldn't dare claim I could tank that kind of spiritual impact without injury!"

Among the Five Kage, the Raikage was unquestionably the strongest in pure physical combat. The others either specialized in ninjutsu or relied on bloodline limits.

Mei Terumi spoke thoughtfully. "Konoha is said to have a forbidden taijutsu called the Eight Gates. By removing the body's limits on chakra, it might produce power close to what we saw."

The moment she said "Eight Gates," all eyes turned to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

The Third Hokage coughed awkwardly and shook his head. "The Eight Gates can provide power beyond one's limits, yes. But in terms of defense and endurance, it can't compare to the monstrous durability shown in that video. That giant ape's toughness is almost unheard of."

The Shinigami's absurd speed, their terrifying destructive power, and Green Cliff's ability to tank a heavy cannon shot ignited a deep craving for absolute strength within the Kage. With Madara's shadow hanging over them, they had never wanted power beyond the current system more than now.

Akatsuki – Hidden Rain Village

Behind his mask, Obito maintained a surface-level truce with Pain to push the Eye of the Moon Plan forward. But Madara's overwhelming presence in the footage drove the Akatsuki's sense of urgency to a peak.

"Sasori. Deidara," Pain ordered coldly. "Move out immediately. Gather detailed intelligence on the One-Tail jinchūriki and look for an opportunity to strike."

The Five Kage Summit represented unity among the shinobi world. For an organization seeking to overturn that world, it was terrible news. It meant capturing the tailed beasts was about to become exponentially harder.

Third Layer of Hell

"So it really is that yellow water," Renji muttered, a bloodthirsty grin spreading across his face. "My attacks don't do much, but that hell water eats right through him."

"If it works, then have another taste!"

"Baboon Bone Cannon!!!"

Dense red spiritual pressure roared out once more, flooding into Zabimaru's snake head. This time, the energy gathered even faster. The sheer force of it made space itself tremble the moment it formed.

The dark sky was dyed blood-red by the pressure alone.

Rocks, dust, everything underfoot shattered into powder, then began to lift and break apart.

Even the rotting, boiling Yellow Springs churned violently under Renji's full release, bubbling like molten lava.

Locked in by that lethal intent, Green Cliff, now nothing more than a living target, let out a beastlike roar from deep in his chest.
