I watched as Iris made her way to the end of the column, sitting on warrior Martin's wolf form. Martin was a close friend of mine and I knew he would not make the journey back a comfortable one for Iris. There were plenty of things that could go wrong on a night ride.
However, Caius was also watching Iris with uncharacteristic attention, and that pissed me off like no other.
I wanted to rip Iris's head from her neck. My entire body was vibrating with rage, and Leila was similarly incensed. She was already furious that Iris dared to stab herself with the poison I created, but to think she had the audacity to go into heat during our wedding and steal Caius's attention from us!
How could she possibly still be alive and well after the stunt she pulled at my wedding? Was the Moon Goddess blind?!
