And just like that…
We were all back at the academy.
Honestly, I didn't even wait for the party to officially end.
The moment I decided I was done with whatever fresh disaster my life had become, I told my Sentinels I wanted to leave immediately. And because they were apparently very good at their jobs, or perhaps they simply didn't want to deal with my mood, they arranged for my return to the academy that same night with them.
Everyone else returned the next day.
Lucky me.
I got extra time alone with my thoughts.
Which turned out to be one of the worst things that could possibly happen to anyone.
The moment I arrived at my dorm, I discovered something even stranger waiting for me.
Several large boxes had been delivered from my parents.
New clothes.
Expensive clothes.
Beautiful clothes.
