Ficool

Chapter 69 - 69 – A new form?!

Tundra held the book Neva had given him in his hands, looking at it for a long moment before looking over at Piccolo, who had been silently staring at him. He walked over with a smirk.

"Well, Piccolo, talk with Neva if you wish. I have a feeling you'll regret not doing so."

Piccolo huffed before pausing. He had just processed the Namekian's name. Was it really the one he was thinking of?

Tundra smirked. "Run along now. I don't have the feeling he'll stay for long."

Without another word, Piccolo sneered at Tundra before walking towards Neva, acting as if he wasn't shaken at all.

Seeing Piccolo walk off, Tundra looked at Vegeta and Gohan.

"Now, which one of you two is the strongest? Don't worry, I won't seriously injure any of you. I'll simply permit a fight." Tundra teased Vegeta.

Vegeta sneered at Tundra. The thought of an opponent looking out for him made his blood boil. He hated this feeling of inadequacy it gave him, as if he somehow didn't matter. But this time, maybe he could prove Tundra wrong. With all of the extra training he'd been doing with Gohan, he certainly should have at least a chance of winning.

So he stepped up. His pride didn't allow him to not at least try.

Transforming into Super Saiyan, Vegeta smirked.

"This is the normal Super Saiyan, and this!"

Vegeta tensed and shouted, his hair growing more spiky and lightning crackling around him.

"This! Is a Saiyan that's ascended past a Super Saiyan, though a coward like you wouldn't know of it."

Seeing Vegeta transform, Tundra didn't even get into a fighting stance. Instead, he tensed his body and tried to lower his power.

Slowly, he shrank, stopping just before he reached Vegeta's height, his bio-armor growing thicker and reaching more places.

Tundra didn't know if this would work or not, but he was glad it did, or else he would've embarrassed himself.

Now that his power was about the level of Buu, he got into a fighting stance.

Vegeta stared in shock before immediately getting angry. Tundra had just suppressed himself because Vegeta was so weak.

Vegeta shook with rage before shouting out and raising his ki to the max.

"YOU BASTARD!"

Something started happening. His hair began growing longer, and his power started growing as he yelled, before stopping abruptly when Vegeta charged at Tundra, seemingly as if he didn't even notice the transformation, though it appeared incomplete.

Tundra's eyes widened as he barely blocked, being sent back. That was new, and very unwelcome.

He punched forward, hitting Vegeta's fist and making it fly back before Vegeta punched Tundra in the chest.

Tundra exhaled as he was sent up. He was rusty, but he slowly regained his feeling for fighting, punching Vegeta in the head and sending him back down to the Lookout before Vegeta came back up, screaming.

But just as Vegeta hit Tundra, he dropped to base, his hair going back to normal, visible exhaustion in his eyes.

Tundra watched Vegeta for a moment before hitting him down with the back of his hand. This time, Vegeta stayed down.

Descending onto the Lookout before powering back up to his true form, Tundra walked over to Gohan.

"Take care, Gohan, and... maybe restrain Vegeta next time." Tundra smirked before flying back to his ship.

It was interesting, but it was nothing too powerful.

Several seconds passed before Tundra came back to his ship, entering to check on Rhuba. She was still in a coma, but he could see that his shinpi was nearly gone from her. It wouldn't take much longer.

Going back to his throne, he checked everything, from interesting planets to anything potentially suspicious.

And he did find something suspicious: a planet in the Khol solar system refused to be governed by outside forces, and yet no action had been taken against them.

Tundra sent a communication towards Shitaki, telling him to set the destination to Planet Senso.

While heading there, Tundra opened the book Neva had given him. The pages shone with magic, seeming as if there were no end nor start to the book.

The first page of the book listed the table of contents, and it was surprising. There was every magical energy he knew of, and more. It seemed like this would be very valuable.

He opened the book to a page about shinpi. Reading up on the mystical energy, he found out that it could primarily draw out potential and create the Dragon Balls. This was also the moment he found out he was using it in an extreme and inefficient way.

He was drawing potential out of the very material that something was made of. There was a note from Neva that told him this was not only very invasive, but it also took much more shinpi than usual.

And so, Tundra kept reading.
