Chapter 64 - 64 – A poor attempt on an emperor's life

Tundra had stayed on the planet for another week, using the excuse that his ship wasn't close enough to Planet Vegeta.

This week had been spent relaxing with Makura, learning a bit of magic under her to supplement his skills, which were mainly focused on enchanting, and watching a few shows with Makura that didn't make him complain this time.

At the end of it all, Tundra had learned to transmute with greater precision, even being able to make cloth appear around an object, something that Makura said was very important for beds.

But now came the time when he had to leave. Before that, however, he had one thing to ask.

"How did Greed come to be? I know you came to be from the Dragon Balls, but I doubt Greed came to be in the same way."

Makura thought for a bit, tapping her chin for a moment before looking into Greed's memories.

"Hm... I think there was a brief lapse in security at Otherworld that freed it."

Tundra sat down and began thinking. Otherworld wasn't a new concept, but it had been a few years, and there was hardly any information in Capsule Corp.

"Otherworld... alright, so it's a fugitive."

Tundra was about to say something about enforcers, but he remembered Shin and how terribly weak he was compared to what he expected. Any enforcers would be even weaker than that.

"Then this is goodbye for now, Makura..."

Tundra felt like he should say something nice, but he didn't know how to. So, with a little hesitation, he floated off into space to find Planet Vegeta.

---

Two days had passed since Tundra left Makura's world. It had taken a bit to find Planet Vegeta, but he had still arrived several days before his ship would.

Walking around the planet, Tundra could notice that there were significantly fewer Saiyans than before, most of them likely being on missions. But that didn't matter. He only needed a Saiyan, strong or not.

While walking, Tundra created papers that advertised that he wanted a Saiyan for an experiment and that it would involve very invasive testing, sticking the papers on walls every few meters.

After placing about 200 papers, Tundra flew into the King's palace to take care of business, surprising King Vegeta greatly.

Sitting on King Vegeta's throne while Vegeta was prostrating himself was satisfying, if not a bit cramped, but he would never let that be known.

"Vegeta, do you know why I'm here?"

King Vegeta shook. He knew this day was coming, the day Tundra would deem him useless and eliminate him, but he had prepared for this.

"Now!"

The windows shattered as countless blasts lit up the throne room. King Vegeta laughed as he pulled out a detonator, pressing it. The throne exploded violently.

King Vegeta had bet everything on Tundra getting on his throne. King Cold's lineage always had a thing for being above him, and now Tundra was going to pay for it.

The blasts kept shooting at the now-destroyed throne before Vegeta held up his hand, signaling for them to stop.

King Vegeta laughed again, feeling like he had finally gotten revenge for all those years in subservience.

"Finally! Decades of servitude now over! All shall be under the Saiyan Empire!"

A voice cut through the smoke, filled with irritation.

"It seems you're getting ahead of yourself. You did not kill me."

The smoke cleared to reveal Tundra, the surface of his body littered with scratches.

"There will be no Saiyan Empire."

Tundra walked forward, each step denting the floor.

"There will be no end to my rule."

Tundra stopped right in front of King Vegeta, grabbing him by the neck.

"And there will be. No. King Vegeta!"

Tundra threw King Vegeta to the ground.

"You Saiyans have lost the right of independence!"

Tundra grabbed King Vegeta by his collar.

"And this will be your punishment."

Tundra poured his mana straight into King Vegeta without purifying it.

The result was disastrous as the mana started clashing intensely with King Vegeta's natural mana, destroying his insides.

Tundra let go of King Vegeta's body in disgust before extending his arm and swiping across the places he felt the ki signatures that had shot at him, sending out several slashes of ki that all met their targets.

Tundra flew out of the destroyed throne room, looking back at it and extending his hand. He wrapped the entire palace in his ki, crushing it until the palace of King Vegeta no longer existed.

Throwing the boulder back down onto the cliff face that the palace once rested on, it was now nothing more than a worthless rock.

With a huff, Tundra flew to a far-off rock formation, needing to clear his head. He did it the easiest way he knew how to: he began to practice ki control.
