Jane Sterling stood at the door, silently taking in the group's conversation.
"What are you all rambling about?"
Jane Sterling spoke, her expression grim.
"SHHH, be quiet, be quiet! She heard you!"
But the people outside were talking so loudly, it was impossible for Joy Fischer and Luna Nash not to hear.
Luna Nash stood at the door, her furious voice booming.
"Who the hell is out there running their mouth?! Show yourself! If you've got guts, say it to our faces! I have nothing to hide, and I'd never stoop to isolating someone—I wouldn't even know how! If you have a problem, come out here and confront me face-to-face! Who are you trying to fool, acting like an innocent little damsel in distress all the time?! Men might fall for that act, but we sure as hell don't!"
With that, Luna Nash yanked Jane Sterling inside and slammed the door with a BANG, shaking loose a cloud of dust and shutting out the gossips.
"We weren't saying much. It was all just speculation, wasn't it?"
