Jane Sterling felt like she had learned something new, letting out a long sigh.
Felix Croft looked a little guilty. He carefully sat down to one side, watching Drew Thorne.
"I'm truly sorry, Mr. Thorne. The three of us aren't powerful enough. I'm afraid we can't resolve this matter for you. But rest assured, my junior brother and I have already called our temple for help. Our martial uncle said he will be here tomorrow to lend us a hand."
Connor Zane, also looking ashamed, saw Jasper Thorne's pale face and quickly spoke up.
"Don't worry, Mr. Thorne. We won't charge you for this job. After all, we underestimated the enemy and put everyone in this desperate situation. We will see this through to the end."
Drew Thorne's expression was grim, and Jasper Thorne, sitting beside him, looked just as unwell.
"Even if your martial uncle comes, he might not be able to solve this. Can't you contact your master?"
Jasper Thorne was getting anxious. Felix Croft looked conflicted.
