Gu Shengsheng didn't take her words to heart at all.
"I don't believe you."
"You've always wanted to be a freeloader. 'Eat, drift, and wait for death' is basically your life's motto."
Lu Linlin had never given a single thought to getting ahead in life.
First, there was no need; her family had more money than they could ever spend. Second, she was sharp enough to realize that if she could just coast, why bother joining the rat race?
Gu Shengsheng had known from the start that Lu Linlin was capable of anything. She at least knew a little bit of all the things a legendary socialite was supposed to know—piano, dance, and even business.
She just didn't want to do them, nor did she have to. Her daily "job" was to go out and have fun.
Lu Linlin grinned at her. "Sister-in-law, since you already see through my little scheme, I won't hide it anymore. I just want to invite you to come have fun with me."
