Once outside, Yuan Si saw a new toothbrush and cup set on the windowsill and knew her mother had prepared it.
"Here. Your toothbrush is the one on the far left. There's a kettle with warm water at the base of the wall. Pour some out yourself to brush your teeth and wash your face," Yuan Si ordered, then left him to it.
Xiao Hu looked at the two other cups, then reached out and picked up his own, examining it from top to bottom. At his house, they didn't have individual cups; the three of them shared one, though they had separate toothbrushes. Besides, the cup they used at home wasn't nearly as nice as the one at his grandma's.
"What are you staring at? Hurry up and brush your teeth. You have three minutes, or you can forget about breakfast." Yuan Si had just come out of the kitchen with some dishes and saw Xiao Hu still standing in the middle of the courtyard, spacing out.
