As Yuan Si came downstairs, Zhao Yangwu sidled up to her. "What did Director Yang want to see you for?"
"Nothing much. My position was just made permanent, so I'll be getting a raise next month." Yuan Si was very nonchalant about it. To her, it really wasn't that big of a deal.
"What!" Zhao Yangwu exclaimed. "You're permanent now? That's fantastic news! We have to celebrate."
Yuan Si shot him a disdainful look. 'If you want me to treat everyone to dinner, just say so. Why make up all these excuses?'
"And since you've just joined our team, we should celebrate that too! Hey, I'll go talk it over with Captain Fu. Let's all go out for a big dinner tonight." Without even waiting for Yuan Si's reply, Zhao Yangwu bolted for Captain Fu's office.
"Congratulations, Xiao Li."
"Are you kidding? Getting permanent status is huge! From now on, we're brothers in the same trench."
