When the old lady came home from work, she was surprised to see several children in her yard, one of whom she'd never seen before. "Oh? And who does this little one belong to?" she asked, looking dubiously at the unfamiliar child.
"Mom, he's my classmate," Yuan Si explained simply.
"That's right, Auntie! He's our classmate and my best bud," Li Zhaohe declared, puffing out his chest proudly.
Listening to the two half-baked introductions, Xiao Furen quickly introduced himself. "Hello, Auntie. I'm a classmate of Yuan Si and Li Zhaohe. My name is Xiao Furen, and I'm from Fuqiang Village. I came over today to hang out with Li Zhaohe." He conveniently left out the part about how hanging out with Li Zhaohe somehow led to him having a meal at Li Yuansi's house. Some things were better understood than explained.
