Why open this factory?
To let more people eat delicious sauce, to provide more jobs, and to lead more people out of abject poverty.
To help more people struggle past the poverty line and escape the bright red line of death.
This wasn't the first time New Star had opened a factory. They had done it before, with a vegetable processing plant. At that time, some people in the company had learned about life on the Low-level Stars, and it was truly cruel.
Very young children had to work. People would fight over jobs, sometimes tearing each other apart for money. Some waited for death in a daze, while others struggled just to survive. All walks of life could be seen, with the most bitter suffering concentrated in the poorest regions.
