Once everyone was in line, they began to separate into formations according to class rank.
The formations were divided strictly by class rank. It seemed that from this moment forward, the difference between S-rank and A-rank students was starkly clear.
Not only were the formations based on performance, but the instructors were assigned the same way.
The supervising teacher called over a squad of young men standing ramrod-straight in their dark green military uniforms. Then, he announced unabashedly, "These are this year's military training instructors!"
"They are 100 officers from the X military unit. We have ranked them from 1 to 100 based on their own performance. The number one instructor will lead the A1 formation, number two will lead A2, and so on and so forth…"
That meant the officer ranked 100th would be assigned to the last class of the B-formations.
The students on the field were stunned to hear how the rankings worked.
