Curiosity wouldn't get her anywhere, so she decided to ask Mrs. Ai'er directly.
Mrs. Ai'er was surprised. "You remember?"
"Mhm. The route feels about the same."
"Your spiritual perception is quite good." Mrs. Ai'er had Jiang Qiuqiu get out of the car with her. "There are a lot of similar-looking trees planted around here. Many people can't get their bearings the first time they visit."
"Oh, is that so?"
"We're visiting another old friend of mine today. I already told him you were coming, and we've already discussed the payment."
Jiang Qiuqiu felt a little embarrassed, discussing payment before she'd even started working. But she didn't say she wouldn't accept it.
