"Captain, who were those two? Why were they so arrogant?"
Inside the newly pitched tent, the members of the Wildfire Hunters sat in a circle, chewing on dried meat. Among them, the hot-tempered Sidney Lewis asked with some indignation.
The captain, Derek Warren, was still smiling. However, compared to the smile he had shown Paige Summers and Marcus Monroe, this one held a bit more authority.
He put down his food and scanned the faces around him.
He knew exactly what they were thinking. They felt that the Hunting Party was strong, and they were resentful that he had bowed down to those two in an almost fawning manner.
But in reality, he didn't think he had done anything wrong.
His smile vanished. Derek Warren warned, "None of you are to cause any trouble with those two, you hear me?"
He rarely spoke with such a stern voice and severe expression, and everyone was taken aback.
