Over fifty people were facing more than three hundred Mutant Beasts. That was a ratio of more than one to six—this was not going to be an easy fight!

Their mutated eyes glowed blood-red as they attacked in one mad wave after another. The grotesque, tumor-like growths bulging from their heads and backs were utterly hideous.
Under Marcus Monroe's command, the group had split into squads. They were arranged with ranged attackers behind and melee fighters in front, a coordinated strategy that was proving highly effective.
But there were simply too many Mutant Beasts!
Even fighting in rotations, the Superpower Users couldn't recover much of their stamina or the energy for their superpowers in such a short time.
