Lu Cheng was worried about Shen Nian, so he led her up the mountain. He stopped once he was sure the people behind them were out of sight.
"Is right here okay?"
"Mhm."
Shen Nian nodded, her face flushing slightly. She could hardly bring herself to look at Lu Cheng.
'Even though I understand that desperate times call for desperate measures, it's still so embarrassing!'
"Um… why don't you head back? I'll be fine by myself."
"I'll be nearby. If anything happens, just call for me."
"Okay."
Shen Nian didn't relax until she was sure Lu Cheng had moved a safe distance away and couldn't see her.
After relieving herself and covering her tracks, Shen Nian felt much more at ease. Even the small hill looked much prettier than before.
Spinning in a circle, Shen Nian took in the full view of the small hill. 'The pristine nature of this era is so much better than the polluted, artificial landscapes of the future!'
