"I'll worry about you." That single sentence instantly scattered all of Shen Nian's other thoughts.
To think she'd suspected him. As it turned out, Lu Cheng was simply worried about her safety—worried she might run into danger going up the mountain alone!
This man... he always found a way to move her more and more.
"Okay, I promise. From now on, I'll only go to the back mountain if you're with me."
Lu Cheng would worry about her, so Shen Nian couldn't let him get *too* worried. If agreeing to his request would put his mind at ease, then why not?
Nothing else of note happened for the rest of the journey. As the night deepened, the train car grew increasingly quiet.
Shen Nian slept for a while, leaning on Lu Cheng's shoulder. By the time he woke her, the train had already pulled into the station.
