Bei Mingyuan felt that in some ways, he and Black Impermanence were the same kind of person.
They were both proud, preferring death, or even defeat, to owing a debt of gratitude they knew they could never repay. They both had their principles, lines they would not cross. And so, he found that he understood Black Impermanence.
"Don't let her kindness go to waste." Before Mr. Hei could object, Bei Mingyuan continued, "She has already paid a fitting price. It's no loss to me if you refuse my help. But White Impermanence will absolutely not survive the night." He wasn't exaggerating. He trusted that the great Black Impermanence was capable of judging the severity of the situation.
Mr. Hei's frown deepened.
