"Li, we'd be faster if we each took a floor. Why do you insist we go together?" a security guard complained to his colleague. "I want to watch the Premier League match. It starts in five minutes."
"Just bear with me, Zhao. Ever since they started renovating the fourth floor, I get the creeps every time I have to go up there," Li said.
"Are you afraid of the living or the dead?" Zhao asked curiously.
"The dead, of course!" Li said, pulling Zhao into the elevator. "Security here is tight, and there are cameras everywhere. Besides, other than the renovation area, there's just the movie theater. Who in their right mind would come here to steal?"
"How about we switch floors, then?" Zhao suggested. "I'm not scared of any of that ghost and ghoul stuff..."
"Let's just stick together. There's safety in numbers. I'd feel guilty if something happened to you," Li cut him off.
"You're such a scaredy-cat!" Zhao shook his head with a laugh, scoffing at the idea of ghosts.
