Just as Su Li and the others had suspected, Miao Zhi was indeed captured because she had been mistaken for Su Li.
Unlike Little Tang Mo, after being abducted, Miao Zhi didn't leave the Imperial City by train. Instead, she had been transported by truck the entire time.
Miao Zhi was terrified and beaten, and she soon came down with a high fever. She didn't even know how she managed to survive.
Miao Zhi and the other girl were bought by the village chief and his men for 50,000 and 30,000, respectively.
That's right. The village chief had personally led the men who bought them.
The village chief had everyone take a look at the girls. The villagers all inspected them closely and agreed in unison.
After that, Miao Zhi was locked away in a dark, sunless cellar...
In the cold, damp cellar, her desperate cries went unanswered, and Miao Zhi was driven to the brink of a mental breakdown several times.
It was only natural that she feared and hated the village chief's son.
