The female doctor blinked, then answered Sylvia Brooks's question. "They're pretty easy for beginners to raise, but there are a few strict requirements when it comes to their environment and daily care."
"I see." Sylvia Brooks nodded. "Now, let's get back to your strange mother-in-law."
"Alright." The female doctor gently stroked Bella's head, her tone as soft as if she were coaxing a child. "Bella, this nice lady can understand what you're saying. Why don't you have a little chat with her, okay?"
Bella heard her owner's words and looked in the direction she was pointing, her big eyes staring curiously at Renee Jennings.
"Baa? The nice lady can hear me talk, baa?"
A soft smile touched Renee Jennings's lips. "Hello there, Bella. Do you like your owner?"
Bella blinked her big, round eyes, glanced at the female doctor, and bobbed her head enthusiastically. "Baa! I do!"
Renee Jennings's lips curved, and she continued, "Are there two other people in your owner's house?"
