"Phoebe said the voice on the other end sounded like a young girl," Sylvia Brooks added.
"A young girl," Renee Jennings murmured, her eyes narrowing. "I think the person who made that call is most likely Yvonne Morgan."
"Her?" Sylvia Brooks frowned. "Why would she do that?"
Renee Jennings said pensively, "She also sent a text to my mom, telling her that her biological daughter, Phoebe Sawyer, was back in the country."
Just as she finished speaking, Rhea Dempsey happened to send a screenshot of a text message.
It turned out that last night, the same number had sent her another message: "This is your biological daughter Phoebe Sawyer's phone number. She must really miss her birth mother."
"Sylvia, take a look at this." Renee Jennings handed her the phone.
