Friday stared at Demon King Conway, his brown eyes filled with anticipation.
'If my owner knows why I'm on a hunger strike, will she change her mind? Will she stop thinking about getting another dog?'
Demon King Conway's brow furrowed. She was both exasperated and amused. "He's staging a hunger strike just because of something I mentioned offhand to a friend? That little stinker. The only reason I thought about getting another dog was because I was worried he'd get bored."
Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow. "Then he misunderstood you. He thought you were the type to abandon the old for the new."
Demon King Conway: "..."
She sighed in resignation. "Friday is just a spoiled little dog."
"WOOF! That's not true!" Friday retorted. "WOOF! You're the one who upset me!"
Demon King Conway looked at Renee Jennings on the screen. "Host Jennings, what's that little stinker saying?"
After Renee Jennings relayed what he said, Demon King Conway felt even more helpless.
