Leo's words made Renee Jennings's brows furrow.

'Fanny seems so simple and honest. Would she really do something like that?'

"Deal," said Renee Jennings.
Leo: "WOOF WOOF WOOF! My owner always says, 'Fanny is just a useless country woman, and a damn stutterer at that. What makes her deserve such a great husband?'"
'Huh?'
'That sounds even stranger,' Renee Jennings thought.
'Who is stealing whose husband, exactly?'
Leo continued barking, "My owner says, 'Sooner or later, I'm going to make you a husband that belongs only to me!'"
