"Brother." Zoe Morgan shuffled on her knees over to Zachary Morgan, her face streaked with tears. "I know you'll hate me for telling you this," she sobbed, "but Yvonne is innocent. I don't want to see her sad and heartbroken."
"Wait a minute," Zachary Morgan said in a deep voice. "You're saying Yvonne is my daughter, but I did a paternity test with her. It showed we have no biological relationship."
"It was me," Zoe Morgan choked out. "I was the one who switched the samples…"
Zachary Morgan's eyes instantly sharpened, glaring at her. "Zoe Morgan, just why did you do all of this?"
"For Genevieve." Zoe Morgan pressed her lips together as tears streamed down her face. "This was Genevieve's wish. She just wanted to have a child with you and for Yvonne to grow up by your side. She did nothing wrong. Her only mistake was meeting you too late."
