Renee Jennings and Sawyer had just arrived at the office when they smelled ginger.
"They're here," Kyle Morgan called out.
Zachary Conway waved them over. "Come on, come on. A bowl of ginger soup for each of you to warm up. The boss arranged it."
"Props to the boss." Sawyer gave a thumbs-up.
Renee Jennings took a few sips of the ginger soup and asked softly, "Did Henry Stark go to interrogate Sean Quinn?"
"No, the guy's just being left to cool his heels in the interrogation room," said Levi Hollis. "The boss is in Director Lowell's office."
Just as Renee Jennings finished her ginger soup, Henry Stark came out of Quentin Lowell's office.
He raised an eyebrow. "Renee Jennings, Director Lowell is looking for you."
"Me?" Renee Jennings blinked and asked in a low voice, "Did he say what it's about?"
"He didn't say." Henry Stark shook his head. "He probably wants to praise you."
Renee Jennings: "..."
'Is that possible?'
'It actually might be.'
