Henry Stark and Kyle Morgan headed back to the police station, while Renee Jennings returned to Eastgate Villa to wait for news from Mary.
She was sitting on the rocking chair in the courtyard, sunbathing while waiting for Mary, when she suddenly heard the system's notification.
[System 009: Miss Jennings, you have an unfinished mission.]
'A mission?'
Renee Jennings blinked. She mentally accessed the mission panel and, sure enough, saw a mission in progress.
'Soothe the Snake King?'
She frowned slightly, a flicker of confusion in her eyes.
'Where is the Snake King?'
[System 009: You need to find him.]
Renee Jennings: "..."
'Where in the world was she supposed to find the Snake King?'
Renee Jennings sat for a moment before waving Blueberry over. "I'm going to the study to livestream. If Mary comes looking for me, bring her to the study, understand?"
"I understand." Blueberry nodded obediently.
