"Diana, you all head out first. I have something to do, so I'll be back later." Renee Jennings returned to Columbine and handed the car keys to Diana Jennings.
"Okay." Diana Jennings nodded, a hint of worry in her eyes. "Renee, you be careful."
Renee Jennings put an arm around her shoulder and smiled. "I know. Don't you worry!"
After watching her family walk away, Renee Jennings took out her phone to contact Henry Stark, relaying what she had heard from the little birds.
"Send me the address," Henry Stark said decisively. "We'll be there shortly."
"Okay."
After hanging up, Renee Jennings sent the address to Henry Stark via WeChat.
It was still early. She estimated it would be another two hours before the scene matched the birds' description: a dark and windy night, devoid of vendors and pedestrians.
She bought a lemon tea and sat by the river. Coco the Sparrow and three other little birds were sitting in a row to her right.
