Afraid Terence Woods would plunge the knife into his chest, Lily rushed forward to stop him. "Don't do anything stupid!"
Terence Woods grabbed Lily's hand, his voice full of pain. "Lily, if you divorce me, I won't be able to go on..."
"Stop pushing me!" Lily exclaimed, completely exasperated.
"Lily, how could I ever bear to push you?" Terence Woods laughed. "You just need to know that I'm dying for you."
With that, he raised his hand, preparing to drive the point of the knife into his chest.
"Don't!" Lily shrieked, reaching out to block him. Breaking down, she said, "I won't divorce you, alright?"
"Really?" A look of delight instantly appeared on Terence Woods's face. "Lily, you're willing to give me another chance, right?"
Lily could only nod. "Yes."
Terence Woods pulled her into his arms, his voice choked with emotion. "Lily, thank you for not abandoning me. I love you, Lily."
