Lin Jiang stopped short at the sound of Qin Yangyang's voice.
He glanced toward the security booth and saw her walking out with a triumphant look on her face, her eyes narrowed like a sly little fox.
"What's with the ambush? You startled me."
"I just happened to glance over and saw you go across the street to buy fried snacks."
She eyed Lin Jiang. "And you didn't just buy fried snacks. You got beer, too."
He dangled the bag in his hand. "Want some?"
"I'm on a diet. I can't eat this stuff," Qin Yangyang said firmly.
"Are you sure you don't want some?"
"Aren't you trying to lose fat? Giving up on your bet with Shen Yuanhang?"
"Just a little."
Eyeing the fried snacks in Lin Jiang's hand, Qin Yangyang said, feigning composure,
"I'm on a diet. I have to watch my weight."
"You gotta have stuff like this once in a while to shock your metabolism. It's twice the results for half the effort."
"Well, I'll just have a tiny bite then."
"Let's go."
