The Cultivator Marketplace belonged to the Shen Family. To live here, one had to pay annual rent.
If they could be of any assistance during a Demon attack, the Shen Family would offer certain rewards, including rent reductions and the like.
If they managed to kill a Demon, they could even receive a reward of Spirit Stones.
However, given the strength of the Loose Cultivators living here, it was good enough if they could simply help out. Slaying a Demon was a matter of luck for them.
