Last month, after discovering the unique aspects of his talent, he had gathered materials and begun refining the Upper-Grade Magical Artifact he envisioned. However, the process hadn't gone as smoothly as he'd hoped. He failed early on, not even managing to complete fifty percent of the refining.
Since the result was different from what he'd expected, he gathered the corresponding materials and began a new attempt.
This was his final test.
