Su Kaifeng's announcement left them all stunned. Even if they'd had their suspicions, they never expected all of them to be made elders. 'At this rate, will there even be a place for us here?'
Yi Tianyun was taken aback. 'Su Kaifeng is certainly bold,' he thought. 'There's no real issue with making Yi Yuanlong the Clan Leader. But to make me and Yi Xingchen elders as well… that's another matter entirely.'
'It's true that Yi Xingchen was originally from here, but technically, he's considered to have defected. Even though he's rejoined, making him an elder right away seems a bit like child's play.'
"Clan Leader, this is absolutely unacceptable! We have no objection to Second Elder becoming the next Clan Leader, but why should Yi Xingchen and his son also be made elders? They have made zero contributions and have no prestige whatsoever. Appointing them as elders like this will surely cause a major uproar!"
