Was Yi Tianyun an Alchemy Grandmaster? Of course not. He was merely a Senior Alchemist, not an Alchemy Grandmaster.
'Pour all my Skill Level into it!'
Yi Tianyun dumped all the Skill Level he had previously accumulated into his profession. In an instant, a million points of Skill Level slammed into the Senior Alchemist profession, maxing out the progress bar.
"Ding! Successfully upgraded to Alchemy Master!"
"Ding! Successfully upgraded to Alchemy Grandmaster (Qi Refining)! The next level requires ten million Skill Level points!"
It was effortless, with no difficulty whatsoever. The upgrade from Alchemy Master to Alchemy Grandmaster only required one million Skill Level points. He had earned plenty of Skill Level from completing main quests before but had been saving it all.
