Gu Shaoling walked up behind Gu Shaoying. After greeting "Third Brother" and "Eldest Cousin," she tugged on Shaoying's two little pigtails, leaned down, and asked, "Why didn't you call me 'Big Sister'? Didn't you see me walk over? Where are your eyes?"
Shaoying sucked in a breath. She instinctively reached up to snatch her pigtails back, her eyes wide as she turned to stare at Shaoling for a few seconds before finally opening her mouth to call her "Big Sister."
Dissatisfied with her slow response, Shaoling poked Shaoying's forehead with her index finger and chided, "If I hadn't said anything, you wouldn't have called me at all. So rude. Get up and come with me."
Shaoying shook her head. "We're having a meeting. Why don't you pull up a stool and join our meeting too, Big Sister!"
"What kind of meeting? This is just a mess. The sun will be right here any minute, and it's too hot. I'll take you inside to play." Without another word, Gu Shaoling pulled Shaoying to her feet.
