"Alright."
At his word, Xiaobai roared. Its body instantly became a blur in the void, disappearing into the endless, dark nothingness in the blink of an eye as it flew toward the horizon. Mu Chen's expression was exceptionally grim as he gazed into the distance. Out there was a place he had to go.
"White Flame Cave! I'm coming!"
......
Inside a spatial tunnel, within a world of nothingness, Mu Chen stood atop Xiaobai's head, his gaze lowered, his thoughts drifting to who knows where. Beside him, the figure of the Profound Old Ghost had silently appeared at some point. Following Mu Chen's gaze to the end of the void, he asked softly, "Xiao Chenzi, was it really alright to leave so decisively?"
Mu Chen let out a sigh at his words and said with a wry smile, "Of course it wasn't, but I was afraid."
As he spoke, Mu Chen turned to the Profound Old Ghost, a sad look in his eyes. "I was afraid that the moment I looked back, I wouldn't have been able to leave."
