The moment she was pulled inside, Crystal scurried behind Evangeline. She peeked around, her voice trembling in terror. "Th-this is definitely not the Dragon God's residence! We've been tricked!"
Evangeline's brow twitched at Crystal's proximity. Shoving her aside, she said coolly, "Weren't you in such a hurry just now?"

The room was cavernous, filled only with layer upon layer of white gauze that partitioned the space in a hazy veil. The faint glow it emitted offered no warmth, instead casting a chill that made the place feel eerie and strange.
It was hard to believe this was a Beastman's dwelling.
Just then, a slender shadow was cast upon the hanging gauze.
He approached at a slow pace, his footsteps echoing crisply on the floor. Each step seemed to strike a chord in one's heart.
