She was eager to see what was so special about this renowned dwelling of the Dragon God. It was shrouded in such mystery and had cost her so much effort to get near. Once she arrived, she still needed to find Caden Albright and Lachlan.
Now that she was in the lands of the Beastman City-states, her Contract Mark was completely useless. This was not good news.
They traveled for a full day. By the time the cart's flap was lifted again, it was already night. It seemed the Beastmen from the Earth-Armor City-state had been pushing themselves to the brink to ensure the Papilio City-state wouldn't catch up and demand her back.
Of course, Evangeline was quite satisfied with this arrangement.
