Javier Sinclair was deeply pleased.
He tightened his arms around her.
"Celeste, you're so good to me. Holding you makes me feel at ease."
"Having you here makes me feel at ease, too."
Celeste Grant smiled faintly.
"There's a boba tea shop over there. Let's go get something to drink." As she spoke, she took his hand and led him toward the distant shop.
"Two pearl milk teas, please."
"Okay, you can scan the code here to pay."
"Mm."
She took out her phone, scanned the code, and bought two boba teas. The drinks had to be made fresh, so the two of them waited for a moment until they were ready.
Celeste Grant took the drinks, handed one to him, and said, "Have a taste. This is our local specialty, pearl milk tea."
He nodded slightly. "Then I must have a taste."
Javier Sinclair stuck in the straw and took a sip.
Celeste Grant leaned in close and asked in a low voice, "How is it? Do you like it?"
